Praise GOD for this upcoming mission to the West African nation of Ghana. This is the fourth year we have brought the Good News of Jesus Christ to this great nation,
Teams will be sent to the capitol city Accra, Kumasi one of the largest metropolitan cities and the Cape Coast where many slaves were shipped from.
There will be pastor’s conferences, leadership training, women’s ministry and visits to schools. There will also be evangelism and nightly services,
As this Team ventures to the continent of Africa, please keep them in your prayers as GOD is glorified by the many souls, bodies and spirits that will be changed by the Holy Spirit through the Word of GOD.
Great things are about to take place, as GOD shows Himself strong on behalf of the Ghanaian people.

The team traveled to Bekwai District for Leadership Training. Our theme for the leadership training was: Leadership Skills that Promote Church Growth. The training was well received by the leaders. We were able to witness with 21 university students, who were on their summer break, in the village. What a blessing to see the students using their skills to give to the Lord to be used to glorify Him?! We were able to bond together as on team. People received prayer, families were reconciled, and many were saved. What an awesome time ministering with the young people?! We received donations of clothing from our partner churches and were able to bless the village with some of the items. In the evening five teams members preached in local churches. The power of God was present in every service, again God’s people experienced healing, deliverance, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as well as salvation. God sent this team to Ghana that He would get all the glory!!! ~Doris Crews

This missions trip has been phenomenal! My life will never be the same. It is so overwhelming to see the hunger and thirst in the eyes if the people and to be an instrument to witness Jesus and the Love of His finished works is the ultimate reward. To God be all the glory!

Glory be to GOD I had an opportunity to minister the GOSPEL and teach the young people about business and to flow in my gift as a hair stylist!!! Great experience another life changing mission trip!!!!! LAFONIA PAGE!
After getting up at 6:00 a.m., this morning the team was able to sleep late to get some well deserved rest. We met at Ramseyer Presbyterian Church for a strategic meeting with Presbyterian leaders to discuss future partnership and to get an overview of the ministry activities of their churches. This meeting gave the team a better understanding of the work that is being done in the Presbyterian churches and it helps us to appreciate the role Shalom has played in this work. The team had another opportunity to bond as we visited the Manhyua Palace/Museum, a palace rich in history. We were in awe of what our people had to go through that we might experience the freedom we have. ~Doris Crews
UPDATE: 5/21/17
The day was spent traveling to the Cape Coast Castle (four hours), well worth the ride. Following our visit to the castle, we arrived at our hotel where team members hung out together…. having fun playing ping pong, walking the beach, playing frisbee and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed each other. Now the team is off to bed to prepare for some much needed rest as we prepare for our flight back home. Thank you for your prayers. ~Doris Crews

Praise God we landed safely at Dulles. God gets all the glory for how He used us to bless the people of Ghana. His Word is spirit and life and that is what we preached. And what a team! At one of the leadership trainings they asked how did we learn to work together since we were from 3 different states…they could see the oneness and the unity. Thank God for your prayers which truly strengthened us. And for tithes and offerings which sent us. We are forever grateful. ~Denodra Bennett

And let The Glory continue!!!
Praise God for your prayers! We arrived safely in Accra this morning and then took another short flight to Kumasi. We recently met with the church leaders and discussed the plans for our mission. Everyone is excited about how God will use us!
What a full morning: powerful devotion and team bonding. We attended a meeting and learned about the culture of Ghana. We learned about symbols of Adinkra. We were even greeted by several Queen Mother’s. It was awesome to be able to interact with Royalty!
May God use you all to shine light where there is darkness. May God continue to cover and keep you all as you set out to complete His assignment in Jesus name!
May God Bless each and every one of you for reaching forth unto those things which are before you especially first timers as Bishop stated. God will be with you and grant you with the right verbiage to spark unto his children. God Bless You all & safe, blessed return to headquarters. Thank You Jesus!
