  Announcements for the Week of June 14, 2026

  1. The countdown to Camp Meeting has begun! Join us July 6th through 10th at Word of Life Christian Center in Darrow, Louisiana, as we gather with our Apostle, Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr. This will be a powerful week of worship, fellowship, and spiritual impartation!  Services will be held each day at 10:30AM and 7:00PM CST.  Be sure to let Mt. Gilead and Word of Life Christian Center know you’re attending by completing the registration form on the Online Registration page on our church website. You can also visit this page for helpful details as you prepare for Camp Meeting.  We look forward to seeing you there!
  2. On Monday, June 15th at 7PM, our grief support ministry is hosting an encounter. Oil of Joy is a safe space to receive support as you process through loss. This month’s focus is on recognizing the signs of grief and learning how to move forward.
  3. On Saturday, June 20th from 9:30AM to 12PM, join GenSalve at the Farm. Parents, this is wonderful opportunity to get your children involved in community service. 
  4. So far this year, we’ve harvested more than 1,300 pounds of produce, and we have much more to harvest for our Community Farmers Market. This outreach is on Saturday, June 27th from 10AM to 1PM!  If you’d like to volunteer, please visit our sign-up link online.
  5. Our final Report Card and Diploma Checks for the school year will be held on Sunday, June 21st and Sunday, June 28th immediately after worship service. We look forward to honoring our scholars during our Academic Awards Celebration in July.
  6. Ladies, save the date — two of our WOW Network Support Ministries are hosting individual encounters on Monday, June 29th from 6:30PM to 8:30PM: My Sister’s Keeper, our ministry for single moms and RARE Jewels, our ministry to women impacted by separation, divorce, or domestic violence.
  7. Do you have a powerful praise report to share? We want to know how God is moving in your life.  Let us know by completing a Testimony Form on our church website!  Just click the icon on the homepage of our church website.
  8. Parents, this Monday, June 15th is the last day to register for Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme is Illumination Station: Shining a Light on Who Jesus Really Is, based on John 8:12. Elementary students are invited to join us Monday, June 22nd through Friday, June 26th from 6pm – 8:30pm.  VBS is free and filled with exciting activities, engaging lessons, fun games and great snacks.
  9. Wisdom Warriors, we’re hosting a complimentary car wash for you! Bring your vehicle to Mt. Gilead on Saturday, June 20th from 8am to 12pm.  Reserve your time slot by registering online.  Wisdom Warriors is our ministry for those 65 years old and above.
