Announcements for the Week of June 7, 2026

  1. During May, Mt. Gilead led 145 people to Christ!! Heaven is rejoicing and so are we!  As you continue to witness to others about Jesus, join Mt. Gilead on the Slack App.  This is a great way to keep track of the souls won Christ!  Click on the icon on our Online Registration page for instructions.
  2. Congratulations to the class of 2026 – including our members who graduated from Apostle Thompson’s ministry school! Graduates and parents, save the date for our Academic Awards Celebration, happening Sunday, July 26th during our 10am worship service.  This is a day when we celebrate honor roll students and all graduates, including high school, college, and higher education.  Our final report card and diploma checks for the school year will be held on Sunday, June 21 and Sunday, June 28 immediately after worship service.  We look forward to honoring our scholars!
  3. On Monday, June 8th, our Kingdom Overcomers Support Group is meeting at 7pm. This ministry encourages those overcoming any form of addiction.
  4. On Saturday, June 13th, Operation Thunder is hosting a Veterans Community Day at the V-A Medical Center. Join our domestic missions ministry for a fish fry.  Sign up on the church website if you’re able to volunteer with us!
  5. Wisdom Warriors – we’re hosting a complimentary car wash just for you! Bring your vehicle to Mt. Gilead and allow us to serve you with excellence.  This is happening on Saturday, June 20th from 8am to 12pm.  Wisdom Warriors is our ministry for those 65 years old and above.  Reserve your time slot by registering online.
  6. Mark your calendars — Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21st! We look forward to honoring all dads, including the spiritual father of this house, Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr.! 
  7. Registration is open for our 2026 Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme is Illumination Station: Shining a Light on Who Jesus Really Is, based on John 8:12. This will be happening June 22nd to June 26th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Registration is free and open to our elementary school students! Students will enjoy interactive lessons, games, themed activities, snacks and plenty of fun.
  8. Our Community Farmers Market is just around the corner on Saturday, June 27th on the Mt. Gilead Farm!  We need volunteers to serve prior to the event and the day of the outreach. We’re looking for adults and youth.  To volunteer, you must register online in advance.
