Announcements for the Week of April 20, 2025
1. For the month of March, 48 people gave their hearts to Jesus and received salvation because of our ministry! Heaven is rejoicing and so are we! Mt. Gilead, as you lead others to Christ, be sure to let us know on the Slack App. You can find instructions by clicking on the Slack App icon on our Online Registration page.
2. We are focused on winning souls for Christ and advancing God’s Kingdom, right here in our community. Let’s take a look at our local impact for the first quarter of the year. In January, February and March, we visited area nursing homes, jails and schools – ministering to the sick, the lost, and the hungry. We’ve been able to bless food banks and pantries with produce from the Mt. Gilead Farm – we donate everything grown on our farm! Through local outreaches, we’ve prayed for nearly 150 people and witnessed 20 people receive salvation and 8 rededicate their lives to Christ! Through our domestic missions ministry, Operation Thunder, we provided more than 150 care packages to those in need. During the 1st quarter, Mt. Gilead also hosted an outreach at the Richmond Police Department headquarters, providing a gourmet lunch and resources for workplace wellness. We are blessed to be a blessing!
3. Please note the church office will be closed on Monday, April 21st in observance of Resurrection Sunday. There are no activities on campus.
4. On Tuesday, April 22nd, Overseers will meet with Helps Ministry Cluster 2 between 6:15pm and 8:00pm. To view meeting locations, visit the Helps Ministry Platform.
5. On April 26th, Operation Thunder is hosting an outreach in Clarksville, Virginia! We’re partnering with Wharton Memorial Baptist Church for a Community Outreach and Fish Fry. This ministry is under the leadership of Pastor Tereeke Hutcheson, one of Bishop Robertson’s sons in ministry. 6. Our women’s ministry is gearing up for our first WOW Encounter of the year! Co-Pastor Elena Robertson will minister an encouraging word as we dive deeper into this year’s focus: Holy Spirit, Have Your Way! WOW Encounter is happening Friday, May 16th at 7pm. Ladies, we look forward to seeing you there!
7. Married couples, save the date for this year’s Marriage Conference! We’ll be in Pigeon Forge, TN from September 25-27. Stay tuned for details.
8. We’re so excited for this year’s Pastoral Anniversary!!! Our Bishop & Co-Pastor are celebrating 35 years in ministry. Our Pastoral Anniversary kick-off rally will take place on Wednesday, April 30th. Then, our celebration continues Sunday, May 4th! You don’t have to wait to get your seed in the ground.
