Announcements for the Week of May 3, 2026

  1. We’re excited to welcome the guest minister for our Pastoral Anniversary Celebration Service, Bishop Raphael Saitoti, from Kiserian, Kenya. Our Bishop and Co-Pastor are celebrating 36 years in ministry.  If you would like to sow a monetary seed, please visit our Online Giving page and click the Pastoral Anniversary icon.  We have the best pastors in the world!
  2. National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 7th! On this day, we are honored to host the Christian Leadership Prayer Breakfast with “For Richmond.” This nonprofit brings Christians together to transform metro Richmond.  Registration is closed.  To look for other events happening on National Day of Prayer, visit:  https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/
  3. Our grief support ministry, Oil of Joy is hosting a virtual encounter on Friday, May 8th at 6:30pm. This Zoom session is focused on honoring your mother this Mother’s Day while grieving.  To receive the Zoom link, email OilofJoy@MtGileadFGIM.net
  4. Operation Thunder will be back in the community on Saturday, May 9th in Mosby Court. We encourage you to join us as we offer prayer and meals.  There are a variety of time slots available.  Sign up on our church website to volunteer and be a blessing to this community!
  5. We look forward to honoring all moms including the spiritual mother of this house, Co-Pastor Elena Robertson on Mother’s Day. There will be an opportunity to present cards and monetary gifts during our 10AM Worship Encounter on Sunday, May 10th.
  6. Save the date for our next Marriage Readiness Course. It starts Sunday, May 17th immediately following worship service.  Assistant Pastor Kenneth Mitchell and his wife, Minister Audrea lead this six-week class, which is open to engaged couples, married couples looking for a recharge, and singles who want to prepare themselves for marriage.  Complete our online Interest Form today.
  7. Calling all business owners! Registration is underway for our 2026 Economic Empowerment Business Symposium.  It’s happening on Saturday, June 6th from 9:00am to 2:30pm.  Our theme is “Kingdom Business: Practical Strategies that Manifest Results.” If you’re a business owner, we encourage you to attend.
